A three-car accident in Commerce injured two people on the evening of Dec. 2. The wreck happened on S.H. 24 near the local Walmart. Commerce Police Chief Kerry Crews said the driver of a pickup truck traveling north on 24 “blacked out” and rear-ended a smaller car. Both of the vehicles then hit another truck.
The drivers of the first two vehicles were both taken to Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville, police said. One of the two was released on Dec. 3, while the other remains hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police do not suspect that alcohol or drugs were a factor, they said.
