Commerce – In two tight games last night, the A&M-Commerce women's basketball team fell to Eastern New Mexico while the men's team came out on top thanks to the heroics of Senior Jermart Miller.
The women's team drops to 4-3 on the season after a loss Tuesday on the road to Division I Oklahoma State 67-43 and last night's nail biter to Eastern New Mexico 66-63. Eastern New Mexico goes to 6-1 after the win.
The men were led to a 71-69 victory over Eastern New Mexico by Senior Jermart Miller, who notched 26 points in the contest, including 12 point in the final 3 minutes and a 4-point play with 19 second left that gave the Lions a lead they would hold. Miller was fouled on a three-point shot that went in then sank the free-throw that put the Lions up with second to play.
Both teams are on the road Saturday night, as they face West Texas A&M in another double-header starting at 6pm for the women and 8pm for the men.
