Open house at Commerce animal shelter

Commerce – The Commerce Animal Shelter will be holding an open house this Thursday, February 1st. The open house will be held from 3pm to 6pm with the goal of finding homes for some of the animals in the shelter. A recently formed local non-profit organization, Prevent A Litter, Inc, or PAL, will also be giving vouchers out for low-cost vaccinations and spay or neutering.

The Commerce Animal Shelter recently finished a $76,000 expansion to the facility, increasing capacity and adding a full-time staff member as part of an agreement with Hunt County.
