Over $1.1 million awarded at CHS Honor's Assembly

Commerce – Over $1.1 million in scholarships were awarded to Commerce High School seniors during Monday night's Honor's Assembly.

Four students were accepted into the Honors College at Texas A&M University-Commerce, which includes four-year all-expenses paid scholarship. The students were Brianna Ballotti, JenAnne Shumway, Sarah Hays and Allie Stauffer.

Friends of CHS were recognized by Principal Virdie Montgomery for their support throughout the year. They included Janet Peek, Dr. Jack Pirkey and Russell Armstrong.

The top ten students of the class also received special recognition. They included Jarred Turner, Rachel Armstrong, Ryan Brenn, Caitlin Ferrell, Sarah Hays, Allie Stauffer, Ainsley Bruton, Niki McKeithen, Rebecca Dickerson and JenAnne Shumway.
