Overpass project's next phase set for Thursdsay

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – Greenville motorists can expect single lanes along State Highway 34/Wesley Street where it crosses Interstate 30, in preparation for the demolition of the overpass.

Phase two of the reconstruction process will begin Thursday, and is expected to last until the end of April.

Crews are scheduled to first demolish the existing bridge, then construct new bridges across Interstate 30 and the frontage road connection on the west side of Wesley Street.

Phase 3 of the construction will include the concrete pavement of both sides of the interstate.

Two-lane traffic to State Highway 34/Wesley Street is expected to be re-established in July.
