Paris, Bonham expected to receive over 1.5" of rain through Friday

A cool front is expected to bring both rain and also relief from 90-degree temperatures to Northeast Texas.

A line of storms presently moving over Northwest Oklahoma and Southwest Kansas is expected to move into Northeast Texas around 1 a.m. on Wednesday. Current forecasts predict a 60-70 percent chance for showers or thunderstorms until noon on Wednesday. Afternoon high temperatures on Wednesday are expected around 86.

For Thursday through Friday, the National Weather Service predicts highs in the 80s and lows in the 70s, with intermittent chances for isolated showers or storms. Heaviest rainfall totals are expected north of a line from Whitewright to Manchester. Paris and Bonham could receive between 1.5-1.75 inches of rain through Friday. Commerce, Greenville and Sulphur Springs could receive between an inch and 1.5 inches through Friday.
