Paris close to naming next city manager

By Scott Harvey

Paris – The Paris City Council this afternoon is scheduled to meet in executive session to interview candidates for the vacant city manager's role.

The council has narrowed the field to two after reviewing about 70 applications. No action is expected after Friday's meeting.

Six different people have held the position of Paris City Manager since 2004. Most recently serving in the position was Kevin Carruth, who resigned last December after council began the process to remove him from office citing unsatisfactory performance.
