By Scott Harvey

Paris – Officials have released the names of the five victims killed earlier this month following a fire at a Paris homeless shelter.

In a release issued Friday, the Paris Fire Department identified the dead as Derrial Wayne Dixon, John Norman Bove, Burt Babb Jr., Floyd Eugene Hutt and Delores "Bobby" Parker. Since the fire, officials had been working to contact the victim's next of kin before releasing their names.

The fire occurred on January 5, at the Christians in Action facility in downtown Paris. Fire officials say the investigation is still ongoing. At last report, a few of the residents had been relocated to facilities in other communities while the majority is being temporarily housed at the First United Methodist Church in Paris.
