Paris man confesses to plans of robbery

By Scott Harvey

Paris – It appears Paris Police did in fact prevent a robbery from occurring Tuesday morning, after one of the two men arrested confessed to plans of robbing an armored car.

It all started when officials received a call regarding suspicious persons in the 200 block of South Collegiate Drive near a local bank. Upon arrival, officers questioned the two men and firearms were found in their vehicle.

28-year-old Richard Earl Davidson, of Paris, was found to be a convicted felon and was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm by felon. 22-year-old Shaun Michael Blue, also of Paris, was placed under arrest for suspicious persons and circumstances. Both were transported to Paris PD where they are being held at last report.

Investigation is still ongoing as both Davidson and Blue are possibly involved in other criminal activity in throughout the region.
