Paris Police make burglary of a habitation arrest

PARIS - Police in Lamar County have arrested a burglary suspect in one case while a search for another suspect has begun in another case. 

A victim in the 100 block of NE 17th Street informed officers of the burglary at this residence just before noon Monday.  The victim advised that he located the juvenile suspect with the items that were stolen from his residence and provided authorities the location of his property. After locating the suspect, the juvenile was arrested and the property recovered.

Meanwhile, police are investigating the reported theft of several laptop computers from the city’s Wal-Mart. Loss prevention personnel were reviewing videos and found the theft had taken place. According to a release from Crime Information Officer Curtis Garrett, the suspect was only identified as a male. No other details were released.
