Partlow pleads not guilty to impersonation charge

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – Jeffery Scott Partlow, the man alleged to have impersonated a lawyer this fall in a Hunt County courtroom, has pleaded not guilty.

Investigators also believe Partlow may have falsely acted as a lawyer in over 20 courtrooms across Texas.

Following Tuesday's plea, a tentative trial date was set for July 11.

On October 22, Partlow allegedly appeared as an attorney representing a client in a misdemeanor case, during which time he was also found to be intoxicated.

He remains in the Hunt County Jail on a contempt of court charge. Partlow later admitted he is not an attorney.
