Lou Ann Petty returns to the Bois D'Arc Bash Friday night at 7:30, featuring her new band "Luck of The Draw." The Cumby native has been a regular performer at the annual Commerce festival, and she told Notably Texan that she is thrilled to get back in front of an audience.

Petty has carved a path as one of Northeast Texas' powerhouse voices. She has been in-demand as a singer with theater productions on the Main Stage of Texas A&M University-Commerce, and she has a Brad Davis produced full-length record titled "I'm Falling." Petty was heard Thursday on KETR, speaking about Friday's free live show at The Bash, and getting caught up with host Matt Meinke.

Notably Texan is heard weekdays from Noon - 3pm on KETR.

Born in Dallas, Texas, Matt moved to the Sulphur Springs area in 1990 and settled in Commerce shortly thereafter. Having dreamed of working in radio since childhood, he began working at KETR while taking Radio-Television courses at Texas A&M University-Commerce in 1993. Matt has transitioned from a part-time worker and pupil of KETR, to the station’s Chief Announcer/Producer and supervisor of student broadcasters. A familiar voice of 88-9 KETR, Matt has hosted such shows as The Late Nite Lion, and can currently be heard as host of Notably Texan.
