Pilot survives small plan crash near Quitman

Quitman – Officials in Quitman are reporting a small plane crash early Thursday morning near the Wood County Airport.

The pilot, whose name was not released, is believed to have survived the crash. He was the only person on board.

At last report a helicopter from EMTC had arrived on scene, while other rescue workers used four-wheelers and ATVs to get to the crash site.
