Plans presented for master plan community proposal

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – Details on a major development project underway in Greenville. The Greenville City Council in a special session Thursday night met with a major development firm who presented a master plan community proposal, whose implementation could take up to 3 decades. Developers seek to obtain a resolution from the Council, expressing support for the creation of a municipal utility district (MUD), which could be used to sell the bonds to raise the revenue necessary to install needed infrastructure. The district would include slightly more than 6,000 acres north and south of Highway 380 in Greenville.
