Greenville – An Alabama resident has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a child in Hunt County.
Ruth Ann Cannon entered the plea during a hearing Monday. As part of a plea deal, additional counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by sexual contact were dismissed. Cannon received 12 years in prison.
She was alleged to have molested a male child of less than 14 years of age on seven occasions, between November, 2006 and February, 2007.
