Police: Paris woman reports abduction, escape

A 37-year-old Paris woman has reported being abducted and later escaping from captivity over the weekend of Dec. 20-21.

A 37-year-old woman has reported being abducted and later escaping from captivity over the past weekend, Paris police said.
 
The woman told officers that the incident about 3 a.m. on Dec. 20, a release from the Paris Police Department said. From the statement:

The victim stated that she was walking in the 2900 block of E Cherry St when she was struck by an unknown object. The victim stated that the unknown male asked her if she was ok and then carried her to an abandoned house that was close by. Once in the house, the male bound her hands together and told her that he was not going to hurt her. Over the next 20 hours, the male undressed her but was unable to have intercourse. The male eventually put her clothes back on her and said that he just wanted to talk to her. At about 11:00 A.M. on December 21st, the male left the residence and the victim was able to free herself and leave the house. The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-60s, approximately 5’09” tall, medium build, and having a well kept beard.

The incident is being investigated, officials said.
