Possible case of swine flu in Hunt County

By Scott Harvey

Greenville – There may be another case of swine flu in Hunt County. The family of a Caddo Mills high school student says she's been diagnosed with the H1N1 flu, although county health officials had not confirmed the case as of Tuesday morning.

Pam Andrews with the Hunt County Health Department says there has not been an increase in the number seasonal flu cases.

"What I said was we are getting a lot of positive A flu's, but no confirmed H1N1 as of the present month."

The seasonal flu, according to Andrews, varies between November and March and peaks in February.

In early August, Hunt County reported two confirmed cases of H1N1 in its residents. Those two August cases were still the only confirmed cases of the strain as of Tuesday morning.
