President proposes three strategies for A&M-Commerce

By Scott Harvey

Commerce – During a recent address to Texas A&M University-Commerce Faculty and Staff, President Dan Jones proposed three strategies to be implemented.

Tuesday KETR outlined Dr. Jones' first strategy, to strengthen the link between strategic planning and the budget. The second proposed strategy will implement a strategic enrollment management team.

''If Texas A&M-Commerce is to remain a vital and growing institution, we must identify and recruit the students that we want and need,'' says Jones.

The Strategic Enrollment Management Team will gather data, set goals, and determine performance indicators for all of our efforts related to outreach, retention, and graduation. The group will be broadly representative, and will include faculty, professional staff, and student leadership.

KETR will address Dr. Jones' third concrete strategy; focus on service - to students, and to one another, on Thursday.
