Price tag placed on improvements to Graham Park

GREENVILLE - Bids for the project were revealed Wednesday, with seven of the nine base bids received coming in well below the estimated $1 million for the upgrades.

Parking lot expansion and repairs varied from $30,000 to $180,000. City staff will continue to review and evaluate the offers before they go before the council for consideration. 

Last year, a $1 million matching grant was awarded to the city, which is required to pay half. Funding will cover projects including but not limited to a splash park, disc golf, a walking trail, new volleyball courts and playground equipment and improved basketball courts.
