Prison sentence given in burglary case

By Scott Harvey

Hunt County – A prison sentence is handed down in an area burglary case. Brian Edward Manning Jr., of Quinlan, has been sentenced to prison on separate counts of vehicle theft, evading arrest and burglary. Manning is also reportedly facing more than a dozen other cases of burglary across North Texas. Manning was alleged in the indictments to have broken into the garage of a Hunt County residence, stolen an ATV, and then fled from a Hunt County Sheriff's officer in Oct., 2007. After pleading guilty to the charges Tuesday, Manning was sentenced to 12 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Division.
