Program to provide more online courses, flexibility

By Scott Harvey

College Station – Students within the Texas A&M University System stand to benefit from the Course Exchange Program (CEP), which allows students to take online courses between participating system institutions.

A&M-Commerce participated in piloting the project over the summer.

The purpose of the CEP is to provide a central location for A&M System students to take online academic courses to satisfy degree requirements. It is designed to address students' educational needs and provide them the added flexibility they need to stay on track and in some cases complete their education sooner.

The CEP is modeled after the Virtual College of Texas, a pioneer in the online Host/Provider model that serves the community colleges throughout Texas.

For A&M-Commerce students, more information is available by contacting the campus registrar at 903-886-5068.
