Travis County prosecutors formally dropped their case against Democratic State Rep. Dawnna Dukes Monday.

In January, a Travis County grand jury indicted Dukes on 15 criminal indictments. Those included 13 felonies on charges related to fudging official travel vouchers to collect public money.

The decision to drop the charges comes just days after Travis County prosecutors admitted to botching evidence in the case. Dukes has already announced that she will run for re-election in District 46.
