Punishment hearing for murder suspect set

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – A punishment hearing takes place this week for a Greenville man, convicted for the murder of another resident.

Joshua William Lay was found guilty this summer in the shooting death of Darrell Dwayne Feggett.

Judge Richard A. Beacom is scheduled to decide Lay's punishment this Thursday. A pre sentenced investigation ordered by the judge was to be complete by Monday.

Lay had pleaded not guilty to the crime, claiming he acted in self defense. A jury took only 30 minutes to convict Lay.
