Queen Jaci Reed Crowned At Annual Dairy Festival

The 58th Annual Hopkins County Dairy Festival recently crowned a new Queen at the pageant held Saturday evening. Reigning Queen Sadie Evans passed the crown to 2017 Hopkins County Dairy Festival Queen Jaci Reed following a week of activities and contests. Reed is the daughter of Shane and Kori Reed and was sponsored by Mothers Culture Club and The Propane Company.

This year’s theme was “It’s Your Moove” as each of the floats in the parade featured fun board games. The event is highlighted by the annual Ice Cream Freeze-off, Dairy Airs Hot Air Balloons, Carnival, 5K Milk Run and much more.

This year the presentation of the Queen’s Portrait was that of Molly Millsap, who held the crown five years ago. Parade Marshals were David Fowler and Joe Don Pogue.

Among the royal court Miss Congeniality went to Natalie Cruz as well as being the first runner up to the crown. Second runner up went to Gracie Boyer.

Melba’s Kreations won first, Don Lalo’s was second and Saputo was awarded third in the parade float contest.
Save the date for the 2018 Dairy Festival which will be held June 8-16.
