R. Allen Stanford’s appeal for a postponement of his trial has been rejected by a federal judge.
Jury selection will start on January 23rddue to the ruling. Stanford has been in jail since 2009 when he was charged with bilking investors out of $7 billion in a massive Ponzi scheme.
