Rain, Rain, go away
come again some other day!

By Bill Oliver

Commerce, TX –

The Texas Department of Transportation reported flooding rains caused the closing of portions of Interstate 30 and service roads in Hunt County and numerous farm to market roads in Hunt and Hopkins Counties.

To get the latest road conditions, copy the website address from the Texas Department of Transportation, which is http://204.64.21.201/travel/road_conditions2.htm

The rain has washed out Friday's David Dickson Memorial Fishin' Friday event at Graham Park in Greenville. Officials with the annual event, sponsored by the Greenville Police Department and DrugFree Greenville are disappointed and hope that the event can possibly be held later this summer.

The annual Swim Party at the JA-LU Municipal Pool in Greenville remains scheduled for Friday, July 6, from 9 a.m. to 12 Noon. For more information, contact DrugFree Greenville at 903-454-4300.
