By Kevin Jefferies

Rains County – The 76th Annual Rains County Fair gets rolling Monday night. An entire week of activities and events is planned, with Monday also being Senior Citizens Night where seniors will be admitted free of charge. The Wee, Petite, and Little Miss Rains County pageants are set for Tuesday, with Junior Miss and Miss Rains County pageants on Wednesday. The Junior Livestock Show and Sheep Scramble is Friday, and the final day Saturday will host the Classic Car Show on the courthouse square, a parade through downtown Emory, youth livestock awards, and a country and western dance with live music.

Arm band nights for rides on the midway will be Tuesday through Saturday from 6pm to 10pm. The Rains County Fair will be held at the intersection of Highways 69 and 19 in Emory.
