TAWAKONI - Area lakes were among the beneficiaries of this week’s rains, with Lake Tawakoni now less than a half a foot below its fill stage. In December the lake was down more than six feet.
However, the North Texas Municipal Water District remains under Stage 3 of its Water Conservation and Drought Contingency Plan. The North Texas Municipal Water District provides water to more than 1.6 million North Texas residents.
