Red River County Commissioner indicted for abuse of official capacity

Red River County – A Red River County Commissioner has been indicted for abuse of official capacity, according to The Paris News. Rufus Ward Jr. was indicted for the Class A misdemeanor Thursday. The indictment alleges that Ward used county employees and equipment for personal use on a privately owned oil well. The alleged misuse is valued at more than 5-hundred, but less than 15-hundred dollars. A formal arraignment is expected within the next 30 days.
