It doesn’t get any more patriotically thirst quenching than celebrating the Reds, Whites and Brews (RWB) Beer and Wine Festival downtown Sulphur Springs on Saturday, May 23 for the Memorial Day weekend.

The free event boasts a dozen wineries and several down home Texas brews beginning at 1 p.m. Jazz and Blues musical entertainment will fill the air over the beautifully renovated Celebration Plaza while the public is invited to browse the Celebration District and the various vendors that will be available at award-winning Market. Sample wonderful vintages and soak in the pleasant East Texas atmosphere of the Celebration City.

“Don’t miss this opportunity to join this huge event and sample numerous Texas Wines and Texas Craft Beers. We are expecting a great crowd – this will be a great start to the event season,” said Sulphur Springs Community Development Director Shane Shepard.

The City has special keepsake wine glasses with the Celebration logo for event-goers to enjoy while they relax and take in musical entertainment from Johnny and the Night Crawlers, The Jazz Melodies and Sly and the Guys on the new Celebration Stage.

The best part is there are no ticket fees. All purchases are made directly between the consumer and the winery. The City will be providing complimentary red and blue tote bags for wine purchases.

“Stay for the evening and browse Celebration Market,” encouraged Shepard.

Local restaurants like Muddy Jake’s Sports Grille and Pub, Lou Viney’s Restaurant and Pub and Bayou Jack’s Cajun Grill will also be featuring the craft brew beers.

Make the RWB event a special detour before other activities of the day like the annual UPRA rodeo which will also be in Sulphur Springs at the Hopkins County Regional arena and the Toyota Texas Bass Classic host to many Country recording artists including Grammy nominated American country music artist Billy Currington at Lake Fork.
