BONHAM - Fannin County Commissioners have lifted their ban on outdoor burning, leaving only Dallas, Rockwall and Wood counties still under the restriction locally.
Recent rains with the possibility of more early this week have helped improve drought conditions. Officials, however, continue to keep a close eye on the situation. In fact, new vegetation from these rains could act as dry fuel for wildfires when it freezes.
Extreme caution is advised when burning trash in unincorporated sections of the region.
