Commerce – Authorities have yet to release the names of a Commerce man and woman involved in Wednesday's reported stabbing in the city.
As KETR first reported Wednesday, a man was believed to have been stabbed by his girlfriend in the 2100 block of Washington Street at around 2:45 a.m. A report by Commerce Police indicates the incident stemmed from the man allegedly assaulting the woman, leading to the stabbing, which was done with a 13 inch kitchen knife.
Injuries to the man's left back side and left forearm do not appear to be life threatening. He was receiving medical treatment at last report.
