Greenville – Con artists are reported to be back at work in the area. The Greenville Police Department has issued an alert regarding the pigeon drop confidence scheme. Under the scheme, a person will be approached by an individual who claims to have either found a large sum of money or who needs assistance getting a large sum of money into a local bank. At some point during the scam, the victim will be asks to put up a large sum of money as a show of faith.
