Reward offered in connection to vandalism

Greenville – Officials are seeking information concerning a recent string of vandalism in Greenville. Hunt County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for several criminal mischief cases during the night of the City's annual Christmas parade. Over a dozen reported crimes occurred between 6 p.m. and midnight on Friday, December 5. A suspect or suspects are reported to have shot out vehicle and business windows using small projectiles, possibly using a slingshot or air rifle. There were at least 27 victims throughout Greenville and the damage is estimated to be at least $7,500. All of the offenses appear to be linked. Information can be reported anonymously by calling Hunt County Crime Stopper at 903-457-2929.
