Scotty Joe Thompson, 37, of Sulphur Springs was pronounce dead at the scene when the riding lawnmower he was operating overturned trapping him underwater of a nearby pond on the The Savannah Event Center.
The Savannah is located in Birthright on County Road 4778 in Hopkins County. Justice of the Peace B.J. Teer has ordered an autopsy which is standard procedure but no foul play is suspected.
