While Hunt and Hopkins Counties missed heavy snow from the last winter blast, rainfall that exceeded four inches in some places has caused road closures.
The Texas Department of Transportation reported FM 118 at the Sulphur River is closed until Monday at noon due to high water. FM 36 from FM 1564 to Caddo Creek and the creek to highway 276 is closed until Saturday at noon. And FM 1565 from highway 276 to the Kaufman County line is closed until Saturday at noon.
In Hopkins County, FM 71 from the Hopkins/Delta County line to FM 3134 is closed until Saturday at 5 p.m. due to high water.
