The crime occurred at approximately 3:46 p.m. Tuesday, when a male suspect, whose identity has not been released, stole a compact that resembled a wallet from a woman's purse.

The female victim and another male followed the suspect out of the store, after which the suspect got into a car and backed the vehicle in a threatening manner toward the male and then fled the scene.

A third party spotted the vehicle at approximately 4:40 p.m. and called the Greenville Police Department, after which officers responded to the location and stopped the vehicle on Highway 69 South. A 42-year old white male was arrested and charged with Robbery and Aggravated Assault. The case remains under investigation.
