Rodeo to benefit victim of Multiple Sclerosis

By Scott Harvey

Miller Grove – A ranch rodeo is scheduled for this weekend in Miller Grove with proceeds to benefit Fran Christian Sparks, who is currently undergoing treatment for Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

Friends and family are requesting a $5 admission charge to the event, with the money to go toward medical costs. Children six and under get in free.

Fran was diagnosed with MS in 2008. With treatment and rehabilitation, she was able to return to work at Farmers Electric Cooperative before suffering another MS episode on September 15 of this year.

Saturday's ranch rodeo events include sorting, doctoring, mugging and wild cow milking. It begins at 1 p.m. at Burn's Arena, FM 275 South.
