A week after the 98-20 record-breaking rout of ETBU the accolades are still rolling in for A&M-Commerce as Lions senior starting quarterback Tyrik Rollison was named D2Football.com National Offensive Player of the Week Thursday morning from the organization.
Rollison accounted for 546 yards and six touchdowns through the air completing 33 of his 26 pass attempts. During the rout, Rollison broke the school record for passing yards and yards per attempt and tied the record passing TDs.
The offensive smashed the NCAA record for total yards accumulating 986 yards against the Tigers.
This weekend the Lions will face a stiffer test as A&M-Commerce travels to nearby FCS foe Stephen F. Austin Saturday at 6 p.m.
