Roman baths, libraries a model for Commerce?

A combination swimming pool/library might sound odd today, but ancient Romans cared for both body and mind at similar facilities.

Texas A&M classics professor Dr. Steven Oberhelman describes how Rome's public baths provided a place for exercize, study and socializing for even smaller Roman towns. Swimming and reading were among many activities available for Roman citizens at the baths.
