Greenville – Local firefighters will be the beneficiaries of an event this weekend.
The third annual Jane H. Taylor Run for the Red benefit is scheduled for Saturday at the Hunt County Fairgrounds in Greenville.
Organizer Jay Adkins says Taylor, his mother-in-law, passed away shortly before the first event. Adkins says Taylor was an avid supporter of the County's volunteer fire departments and one of the first leaders of the Hunt County Firefighter Association.
The day begins at 8 a.m. Saturday with registration for a motorcycle rally. Fire Departments across the county will be open to the public and riders will be making a stop at each of the departments during a tour across the county.
