With a new year brings the School Board Recognition Month. During January citizens are asked to take time to thank the more than 7,000 locally elected citizens who deeply care about the success of all Texas children as they serve without pay as Trustees of the school district.

Each year the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) encourages parents, district staff, and community leaders to show appreciation to board members for their unfailing commitment to the future of Texas school children.

The Cooper ISD Board of Trustees will be meeting on Thursday, Jan. 21 for their regular meeting due to scheduling conflicts. The Board regularly meets the third Monday night of the month at 6 p.m. in the Administration building on McKinney Avenue in Cooper.
