Second Animal Raid in a Month at Same Hunt County Farm

HUNT COUNTY - 120 animals were seized this week from a property along Private Road 2321. Nearly twice as many were also found receiving inadequate treatment at the same location in July.

The inventory of animals retrieved included chickens, rabbits, ducks, cats and dogs, similar to the 249 animals seized July 18. That raid was said to have occurred because the animals were not receiving enough water, food, proper care or shelter.  The SCPA was later awarded custody.

The owner of property said in July he raises animals at the site and sells at area flea markets.
