Sen. Deuell recognized for voting record

By Scott Harvey

Austin – State Senator Bob Deuell was recognized this week for achieving a 99.9 percent voting record during the 82nd Legislative Session.

Of the 4,048 record votes recorded during this year's session, Deuell missed only five votes and was present for 99 percent of the roll calls taken for attendance. He has maintained a 99 or 100 percent voting record in every regular session of the Texas Legislature since being elected to the Senate in 2002.

Two years ago during the 81st Legislative Session, the Senator from Greenville received Legislator of the Year by the Texas Organization of Residential Care Homes.

Deuell represents the citizens of District 2, which covers ten area counties.
