Services tomorrow for teen killed in Commerce wreck

By Kevin Jefferies

Lone Oak – Funeral services are Saturday for Taylor Hager, killed Wednesday in an early morning traffic accident in Commerce. 18 year old Hager was a recent graduate of Lone Oak where she was involved in volleyball, cheerleading, basketball, softball, and track.

The accident happened at the intersection of Highway 50 and Culver in Commerce when a Mustang driven by 17 year old Sasha Mandrake of Lone Oak failed to stop at a red light and broadsided 26 year old Isaac Bullard, who was driving a Ford Ranger pickup truck. Hager was the front seat passenger in the Mustang. Mandrake and a backseat passenger, 17 year old Chelsea Haight, were flown to Parkland of Dallas after the accident. Hager was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the accident.

A special service is scheduled for 3pm tomorrow in Lone Oak's high school gym to pay respects to Hager.
