Rockwall – The Texas Department of Transportation has revealed plans for a major overhaul of part of State Highway 205 in Rockwall. The road will be converted into six lanes and a median from Sids Road in south Rockwall to San Jacinto in north Rockwall. Construction could begin as early as September next year and could last as long as four years.
TxDOT has scheduled a public hearing for concerned residents next Tuesday at 6pm in the Utley Freshman Center cafeteria.
The $21 million project will begin with the complete reconstruction of the Interstate 30/Highway 205 overpass.
