Shelter to change euthanasia tactics

Sulphur Springs – The Sulphur Springs animal shelter will soon move to a more humane approach to animal euthanasia, converting from carbon monoxide gas to lethal injection.

The city is expected to receive supplies within a few weeks.

Last week, council approved a motion directing staff to move forward with the practice, which is also projected to save on operations costs.
