Show Early Saturday to Recycle in Commerce

COMMERCE - Since the city, in conjunction with Keep Commerce Beautiful and City Sanitation began offering the recycling service last year, participation has increased every month.

Volunteers say the bin is filling up within the first couple of hours and will allow services from 9 until 11:30 a.m. Saturday or until full.

Drop off is at the city’s Wastewater Treatment Plant off CR 3218 south of Hydro Aluminum.

Recycling for Commerce citizens is offered free of charge the first Saturday of every month, and for businesses during the week. Non-citizens who want to participate can visit City Hall to purchase a $10 permit.
