Showers, storms on way through NE Texas

Thunderstorms are expected to cross the region early Wednesday morning and, while they are expected to be pretty strong, forecasters say severe weather is not likely in Northeast Texas.Showers and thunderstorms are likely after 1 a.m. Wednesday, as a cold front closes in.

Severe weather was said to be likely as far east as Collin and Dallas counties overnight, with a lows in the upper 50s.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely again Wednesday morning, with winds gusting out of the north at up to 25 mph.

It will be chilly Wednesday night, with another slight chance of showers and thunderstorms and a low in the mid 30s and winds out of the north gusting as high as 25 mph.
