Six new leaders in the A&M System

The appointment of Dr. Dan Jones as the next President of Texas A&M University-Commerce was one of six administrators named this week by the A&M System Board of Regents.

A former Commerce Vice President, Terry Pankratz, was promoted to V-P for Finance and Chief Financial Officer at A&M-College Station. Pankratz's appointment was made official shortly after appearing in Commerce, where he was named an Alumni Ambassador by Hal Langford, Dean of the College of Business and Technology.

Pankratz worked in Commerce from April 2004 to November 2005, when he moved to College Station.

The Regents named a new President at A&M-Texarkana. Carlisle Rathburn III moves from Savannah Technical College in Georgia. The new President at Tarleton State is Dominic Dottavio from Heidelberg College in Ohio. The Regents also hired a new System Vice Chancellor for Research, Dr. Brett Giroir, and a new Director of the Texas Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory, Dr. Tammy Beckham.
